Version 1.0

---

# Purpose

Every composition begins with a goal.

The Composer never generates music without intention.

Instead,

every generated track is driven by one or more compositional goals.

These goals guide all later decisions.

---

# Philosophy

Traditional generators ask

"What comes next?"

AI MusiMuse asks

"What am I trying to achieve?"

Generation therefore becomes goal-driven.

---

# Goal Hierarchy

Every composition contains

Global Goals

↓

Section Goals

↓

Local Goals

---

# Global Goals

Global goals define the entire track.

Examples

```
Peaceful meditation
Slow evolution
Dream-like atmosphere
Emotional recovery
Growing tension
Night journey
Infinite space
Melancholic reflection
```

These remain active during the entire composition.

---

# Section Goals

Every section has its own objective.

Example

```
Intro
↓
Create curiosity
Development
↓
Increase movement
Break
↓
Reduce tension
Finale
↓
Create emotional release
```

---

# Local Goals

Short-lived objectives.

Examples

```
Introduce motif
Create contrast
Increase density
Delay climax
Prepare transition
Return harmony
Remove bass
Expand texture
```

---

# Goal Stack

Goals are maintained as a stack.

```
Global Goal
↓
Current Section Goal
↓
Current Local Goal
```

The Composer always knows which goals are active.

---

# Goal Lifetime

Goals have duration.

Example

```
Increase tension
00:40
↓
01:30
```

After completion,

the goal is removed.

---

# Goal Completion

Every goal has progress.

Example

```
Current
58%
completed
```

The Composer continuously evaluates progress.

---

# Goal Satisfaction

Each decision is evaluated by asking

```
Does this help achieve the current goal?
```

If not,

another candidate is preferred.

---

# Multiple Goals

Several goals may coexist.

Example

```
Maintain atmosphere
+
Increase density
+
Avoid percussion
```

The Composer balances them.

---

# Goal Priorities

Every goal has

```
priority
weight
deadline
```

Higher-priority goals dominate lower ones.

---

# Goal Conflicts

Conflicts may occur.

Example

```
Increase energy
↓
Reduce density
```

The Search Engine evaluates possible compromises.

---

# Goal Generation

Some goals come from

User Constraints.

Others come from

Style Model.

Others are generated internally.

---

# User Goals

Examples

```
Calm
Dark
Minimal
Long Intro
No Climax
Dreamy
Slow Evolution
```

These become permanent goals.

---

# Style Goals

Examples

```
Return themes frequently
Avoid abrupt endings
Use gradual transitions
Maintain harmonic stability
```

These are learned automatically.

---

# Emergent Goals

The Composer may create new goals.

Example

```
A motif unexpectedly became important.
↓
Create variation.
↓
Return motif later.
```

---

# Goal Tree

```
Create Atmosphere
├── Low Density
├── Soft Harmony
├── Long Pads
└── Slow Energy Growth
```

Complex goals are decomposed.

---

# Decision Evaluation

Every candidate decision receives

Goal Contribution

Example

```
Decision
Increase Density
Goal
Create Atmosphere
Contribution
0.22
```

Another decision

```
Decision
Extend Pad
Contribution
0.91
```

The better decision is selected.

---

# Failure Recovery

If no decision improves active goals,

the Composer may

Generate New Goal

Modify Goal

Abandon Goal

Replan

---

# Long-Term Planning

Goals may span several minutes.

Example

```
Prepare climax
↓
90 seconds
```

The Composer plans ahead.

---

# Explainability

Every generated event can be explained.

Example

```
Pad entered
Reason
Needed to satisfy
Maintain Atmosphere
```

---

# Design Principles

Music always has intention.

Goals guide decisions.

Goals evolve.

Goals are explainable.

Goals are independent from rendering.

---

# Long-Term Goal

The AI should eventually compose music

with purpose,

rather than producing statistically plausible sequences of events.
